This is such a lovely piece - I really like that you've been able to keep a lot of detail, even though the bride is semi-transparent.

you're really good at creating ghosts now! Whenever I have to make one I'll go back to your series for inspiration if you don't mind. :D

Still learning and studying, Erik! Although I'm not a reference on this - yet -, you are always welcome here, but being honest, you did something terrific here: Aguara, the child thief, you don't need inspiration!!

So you are doing exercise with ghost effect and you see the death people like in "the others"! Pat

I like also this other ghost concept!

Yep, I am!! And I already have another one in progress! Inspired by "Crimson Peak", final scenes.
I just loved to work on this, is so challenging in a enjoyable way because requests a lot of painting on the effects. Yet, the most hard of all of them - until now - was Still Waiting For You even that her dress was already white. Also, it's perfect for me that enjoy to play with lights and colors... But the most cool thing is to be able to tell "ghost stories".  I'm glad you like this concept, thank you so much!

I ever seen this movie, i like Gulliermo del Toro so I have to see this movie also because I saw great locations and so for sure great inspiration.  This movie reminds an old movie "The Haunting (1999)" images-na.ssl-images-amazon.co…
and yes little ghost stories are cool and those where there are castle are always my fav.

searching the previous movie, always about this topic, i saw this funny cover www.panmacmillan.com/getmedia/…
So i will wait to see this your wip version

I like Guillermo too, can't wait to see his next movie "The Shape of Water", I bet will be as great as "Pan's Labyrinth".
"Crimson Peak" is not his best, could be better due to the nice script they had in hands, but to us - artists - is very recommendable to watch, it gives many inspirations, I already saw some creations here inspired by the movie. It worth a look, imo. I watched "The Haunting" exactly in 1999!
Love that cover you shared, it's cute!

Thanks bud!

he is a great story teller and about this next, who know! For sure the trailer is great and also funny with the monster eating eggs :D One thing is sure, he is taking advantage of the last tecnologies so he has more control on the visual story and to express it compared to the old Pan's labyrinth.
Only 11 years of difference but technologically speaking they seem to have passed 100 years

I agree with you but also, I think Pan's Labyrinth was built to be kind "rustic" or old school style of "horror/fantasy" as we saw in many movies of 80's like "Never Ending Story", "Legend" (how I love this one), kinda... "homemade". I am picky regarding technology in movies, I can notice perfection or imperfection in small details, yet I don't miss this in Pan's... because seemed that the story matched with the technology. No need to be better at that time and, imo, I don't think should be better than that these days (this means, Pan's... is a movie that should never be redone/rebooted again). It's different when I see "Lord of the Rings", although they had great technology on those days (and they created few more new effects to cinematic universe), when I watch again, some poorly done effects (trying to be great), really bother me. Specially in lights and chroma key work.

Yes i think the same thing! Many actual movies are all cold tecnology without substance. The reason is because the market require "one" movie each day and so the same director create 1000 movies....and so by by quality!
but luck there are exceptions, to remember something of relative recent "fantastic beasts and where to find them" wow the world inside the suitcase!
The tecnology in the right hands help a lot to create things before impossibles...and today when we see a movie, is impossible at 100% recognize fantasy from reality, im talking about the section mattepainting www.pluralsight.com/content/pl…

The problem of all old movies......redone/rebooted again 1000 times and all failed......this isn't linked to the tecnology but to 10000 factors! The first Alien for example no one has been able to create
something able to overcome it and not because there isn't the tecnology, but because the first was an astral combination of 100000000 aspects...This mean that movie was and is unique.... SO, The tecnology don't is able to recreate those original 100000000 aspects or if you prefear the same alchemy! the same speach is valid for many others old movies or the same Pan.
